The New Cool: The Transition to Low-GWP and Natural Refrigerants

Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) released into the atmosphere pose a significant global warming impact, prompting regulatory measures from the EPA to phase down the production and consumption of HFCs by 85% by 2036. This webinar will prepare building owners and facility managers to comply with regulations by explaining how the HFC phasedown affects technologies in commercial buildings. In addition, participants will learn how industry leaders are complying with the phasedown by transitioning to natural and low-GWP refrigerants.

Speakers: Michael Deru, National Renewable Energy Laboratory; Mark Minter, Agropur; Morgan Smith, North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council
