Video: Shari’s Café & Pies, Lynnwood, Washington

Department of Energy Director at Better Buildings, Maria Vargas, paid a visit to Shari’s Café & Pies in Lynnwood, Washington to recognize its energy leadership as part of a recent Better Buildings Challenge Showcase Project. The restaurant has achieved a 43 percent reduction in water use and a 28 percent reduction in energy use by upgrading its interior and exterior lights with LED lighting, installing a smart irrigation system, and replacing five continuously-flowing dipper wells with new manual wells.
