ROOM BLOCK

BOOK YOUR ROOM: Access the Better Buildings room block for a rate of $276/night, plus applicable taxes. 

  • All rooms in the Capital Hilton room block are now booked for Wednesday, April 30th.
  • The Capital Hilton room block remains open for Thursday and Friday night and will close on April 9th. These rooms may sell out quickly, so book now to secure your room.

The overflow room block is closed, as all rooms have been reserved. 

TRAVEL ASSISTANCE

Travel assistance may be available upon request for representatives from K-12 school districts and energy/sustainability offices within a state or local government. You can request travel assistance (amount based on location*) when registering for the event.

*$750 for locations in Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast regions based on National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) Regions.
*$1,000 for locations in Central and West regions based on NASEO Regions.

TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS

RONALD REAGAN - WASHINGTON NATIONAL AIRPORT (DCA)

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is located approximately five miles from downtown Washington, DC and is accessible by Metrorail.

Metrorail directions from Reagan Airport (a 35-minute ride):

  • Terminal 1: Exit the terminal to the streetside curb, and board any “Airport Shuttle” bus. At the stops for Terminal 2 or North/South Parking 1 & 2, you can access an enclosed bridge that connects to the Metrorail station.
  • Terminal 2: Use either of two enclosed pedestrian bridges on the concourse level which connect directly to the station.
  • Take the Blue Line (direction Largo). Arrive at McPherson Square Metro Station. Exit station at Vermont Avenue – White House to walk to the hotel (the hotel is approximately .2 miles from the metro station).
  • The walk from the metro station to the hotel is approximately 0.2 miles. Walk approximately 1 block N on 15th Street NW. Turn left on K Street NW. Walk approximately 1 block west on K Street NW. Turn right on 16th Street NW. Walk approximately 1 block north on 16th street NW to the hotel (1001 16th Street NW, Washington, DC).
DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (IAD)

Dulles International Airport (IAD) is located approximately twenty-five miles from the DC metro area, and offers Metrorail service to downtown Washington, DC.

Metrorail directions from Dulles Airport (a 75-minute ride):

  • The Metrorail station at Dulles is connected to the main terminal by an indoor pedestrian tunnel with moving sidewalks. Signs guide customers to the tunnel.
  • Take the Silver Line (direction Largo). Arrive at McPherson Square Metro Station. Exit station at Vermont Avenue – White House to walk to the hotel (the hotel is approximately .2 miles from the metro station).
  • The walk from the metro station to the hotel is approximately 0.2 miles. Walk approximately 1 block N on 15th Street NW. Turn left on K Street NW. Walk approximately 1 block west on K Street NW. Turn right on 16th Street NW. Walk approximately 1 block north on 16th street NW to the hotel (1001 16th Street NW, Washington, DC).
BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

In addition to the Reagan National and Dulles airports, Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) is also in the DC metro area. Please note that BWI is approximately thirty miles from the hotel and does not offer Metrorail service to downtown Washington, DC.

WASHINGTON D.C. METRO

  • The hotel is a two (2) block walk from the Farragut North Metro Station.

RAILWAY INFORMATION: UNION STATION

  • Taxi from Union Station to the Capital Hilton is approx. $10 - $15.
  • Depart from the Union Station Metro Station (Red line) and remain on the Red line until the Farragut North Metro Station stop.
