Financing options range from traditional municipal bonding to investor owned utility programs, and third party financing, which are covered in the Decision Tree Tool and Outdoor Lighting Challenges and Solution Pathways report. Many organizations combine several of these options to develop the optimal financing package for their LED conversion. To analyze the cost and return-on-investment from street and parking facility lighting efficiency projects, some Outdoor Lighting Accelerator partners used The Street and Parking Facility Lighting Retrofit Financial Analysis Tool. Based on partner feedback, the Financial Analysis Tool was enhanced with easy to use input default values and maintenance variables that improve tool usability for cost and environmental impact analysis.
