Seattle’s Pacific Tower – leased by the Washington Department of Commerce – was upgraded with luminaire-level lighting controls with integrated occupancy sensors. Each fixture can be tuned individually, allowing dimming adjustments for different space uses and natural light conditions. The project has delivered significant energy savings, with energy performance exceeding Seattle’s already progressive building energy code by 27%. An overview of the project is provided by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) on their BetterBricks site as a written case study and video.
