Building Energy Asset Score: Tool

The Energy Asset Score is a national standardized tool for assessing the physical and structural energy efficiency of commercial and multifamily residential buildings. It's purpose is to expand nationwide awareness of opportunities to invest in building energy upgrades, and to recognize investments that resulted in energy efficiency improvement.

Physical structure and major equipment of buildings have mainly constant energy use in comparison to tenant use. Separating the energy uses for easy and standard analysis and comparison is lacking.

Assess and rate a building’s physical characteristics and receive recommendations for energy efficiency improvements.
