Combined Heat and Power Technical Assistance Partnerships (CHP TAPs) Overview

Combined heat and power (CHP) can help manufacturers lower operating costs and reduce carbon emissions while offering fuel flexibility, improved reliability, and improved energy resilience. DOE CHP Technical Assistance Partnerships (CHP TAPs) offer a range of no-cost CHP resources that can help Better Plants Partners identify CHP opportunities, access engineering support for project planning, and provide CHP portfolio screenings (including economic payback analyses). This fact sheet provides an overview of the CHP TAPs, highlights CHP success stories at Better Plants Partner sites, and provides information about several additional DOE CHP resources.
