Combined Heat and Power Deployment Program Overview

Combined heat and power (CHP) is a suite of commercially available distributed generation technologies that produce both electricity and thermal energy on-site, thereby reducing line losses and strain on grid infrastructure while also increasing energy efficiency, reliability, and security. The promotion of CHP is part of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) mission to create and sustain American leadership in the transition to a global clean energy economy. Key services include: Engagement and Technical Services through CHP Technical Assistance Partnerships (CHP TAPs), Market Analysis, the CHP for Resiliency Accelerator, the Packaged CHP Accelerator, and the Packaged Combined Heat and Power Catalog (eCatalog).
