This presentation explored the potential of "digital twins" - or the mirrored representation of real building systems in a computerized environment, - to enhance your energy program decision-making. Grid-interactive efficient buildings (GEBs) optimize performance, efficiency, and provide flexibility to the grid through a complex balancing of priorities across building systems. Digital twins as real-time, high resolution models of a building, portfolio, or city can help guide the deployment of technologies which make GEBs possible. Partners discussed cutting-edge innovation in software and modeling and how it is already being applied to drive the future of understanding energy in our buildings.
