This session, hosted by representatives from the U.S. Department of Energy, Gundersen Health's CFO Michael Allen, and Gundersen Health's Executive Director Jeff Rich, will review energy investment strategies, creative and timely approaches to achieving environmentally sensitive energy infrastructure alterations, and a new website through which hospital CFOs and others in the sector can share successes, learn from one another, and create a forum for bringing the environmental, financial and social aspects of energy alterations to the forefront of thinking in the fiscal operations of health care facilities. As an increasing number of hospitals plan for energy related projects, this session clearly illustrates the many advantages to peer-to-peer communications and how hospitals can build on one another's successes through project visibility.
