WinnCompanies is proud to partner with Department of Energy in the Better Climate Challenge, continuing and renewing our Better Buildings Challenge partnership, while complimenting our ongoing efforts in DOE’s Advanced Building Construction Collaborative and Connected Communities initiative. WinnCompanies will collaborate with peers and DOE partners in our efforts to establish a portfolio level, emissions baseline and building-specific plans to reduce emissions by at least 50% over ten years. Building specific roadmaps will follow a “Zero over time” approach to identify emission reduction opportunities, accomplished through on-site energy conservation, electrification, building envelope retrofits, solar and battery storage, and off-site clean energy procurement.
