Valley Children's Healthcare

Valley Children’s Healthcare provides nationally recognized care at its 358-bed standalone children’s hospital in Madera, California, and a regional network of specialty, primary, and women’s health services throughout Central California. Valley Children's clean energy strategy aims to strengthen energy resilience on its hospital campus and spearhead initiatives to decarbonize. This involves the installation of the largest pediatric healthcare-based renewable energy microgrid in the country, slated to be fully operational in 2025.

With more than 670 physicians and 3,500 staff, Valley Children’s delivers high-quality care to more than 1.3 million children between Los Angeles and the Bay Area. Additional clean energy strategies include implementing measures to enhance facility and fleet energy efficiency, improving water management on the hospital campus, implementing sustainable food practices and waste handling, and studying how these interventions impact health disparities in the region.
