Stryker is a medical technology company driven to make healthcare better. Styker offers innovative products and services in Medical and Surgical, Neurotechnology, Orthopaedics and Spine that help improve patient and hospital outcomes. Together with their customers around the world, they impact more than 100 million patients annually.

Stryker conducted energy efficiency assessments at 11 of their top carbon-footprint sites, which resulted in the identification of more than 130 opportunities to reduce energy use. They also developed and distributed an energy efficiency playbook to 45 of their global sites to create a pipeline of future projects. They leveraged a multi-year capital investment to reduce energy use and have approved or implemented over 50 projects that are expected to reduce CO2e emissions by over 15,000 tons.

Stryker has committed to internal goals of making their Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions carbon neutral by 2030. Stryker's carbon emissions targets are aligned with the guidance of the Science Based Targets initiative.

Stryker received a 2023 Better Practice Award for updating and rolling out an Energy Playbook to drive a pipeline of future energy and emissions-reduction projects, resulting in more than 45 Stryker sites participating in the Energy Playbook self-assessment process and over 60 projects implemented in 2022.
