Starbucks Coffee Company

Starbucks Coffee Company

Starbucks Coffee Company offers some of the world's finest fresh-roasted whole bean coffees. Starbucks is committed to reducing its energy consumption across more than 24,000 retail stores in 70 countries.

The energy used to power Starbucks stores, offices and roasting plants accounts for more than 80% of the company’s direct carbon footprint. As such, Starbucks is focused on multiple fronts to reduce energy use. Starbucks has seen its electricity use decrease by a total of 6.4% since 2009, and continues to partner with the DOE through the Better Buildings Challenge, working cooperatively on solutions that will bring further reductions in company-operated store energy consumption. In addition to energy efficiency programs, Starbucks has committed to source 100 percent renewable energy for global store operations as well as global supply chain, headquarters and office locations.
