SOU’s Ashland campus is situated on 175 acres, nestled in the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains in Ashland, 14 miles north of Oregon’s border with California. It includes: solar power generation; reduce, reuse and recycling initiatives; energy efficiency; water conservation; Bee Campus and Tree Campus certification; and sustainable food production at The Farm.  SOU is a GOLD rated Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System (STARS) institution from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.
