Solaris Energy is a certified B-Corp and 1% for the Planet member with a team that provides experienced, value-driven solar and solar + storage development, finance, and asset management services to commercial, industrial, municipal, university, non-profit, and other non-residential clients. Solaris accelerates climate solutions through the widespread deployment of affordable distributed solar and storage projects by offering electricity savings through power purchase agreement financing and partnering with experienced solar installers.
Solaris Energy works across the United States in any state that allows power purchase agreements, solar service agreements, or solar leases. They currently have over 120 operational solar sites across 8 states that span the west to the east coast. Clients include the commercial and industrial sectors, non-profits, universities, municipalities, schools, and hospitals. Solaris Energy provides financing for roof top, ground mount, and carport solar ranging in size from 200 kW – 20 MW.
Solaris Energy offers three main financial products for solar energy systems: power purchase agreements, solar service agreements, and leases. The first two are contracts to purchase solar energy or the services to obtain that energy from the owner of the solar energy system to the consumer of the power, usually at a rate below current utility rates. A lease is a contract to pay a fixed monthly payment for a specific term in exchange for use of the solar energy system.
