Shawmut’s Shawmut Insights™ Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) system is one of the first LCA systems in the automotive textiles market built in-house, and offers a cradle-to-grave evaluation of automotive interior fabrics and composites that Shawmut manufacturers for its customers.

Shawmut is committed to reducing the energy intensity of its facilities by 25% compared to a 2023 baseline, within 10 years. Shawmut is focused on tackling its largest source of emissions and biggest consumer of energy: thermal energy for textile dyeing and finishing operations.
