Performance Systems Development (PSD) is an energy efficiency technology and services provider based in Ithaca, NY with offices across the Northeast and Midwest. PSD supports over 70 different energy efficiency programs nationally with software and services, across residential and commercial buildings, in both retrofit and new construction. PSD uses its expertise in energy efficiency data and calculations to help program administrators cost-effectively scale and meet emerging challenges. PSD helps programs access new sources of value, such as the Home Energy Score and the time and location-based load reduction benefits of envelope measures.

PSD’s Compass program management platform leverages the Home Energy Score data model to deliver comprehensive retrofit programs, including support for multiple Home Performance with ENERGY STAR programs, and deep retrofit decarbonization. PSD is working with support from U.S. DOE and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority to develop and deploy transparent simplified input EnergyPlus-based “Standardized Simulations” that rewire credentialed calculations (such as in Technical Resource Manuals) to support large scale load reduction, heat pumps and decarbonization.
