Finance $25 million in energy efficiency, water efficiency, and renewable energy projects
The Nevada Clean Energy Fund is administering programs to provide clean energy financial and technical assistance to residents, Tribes, affordable housing developers, local businesses, schools, governments, project developers, and others across the state of Nevada. NCEF’s programs support implementation of clean energy measures such as building efficiency and electrification, clean vehicles, and solar and energy storage. NCEF seeks to lower energy burdens, reduce energy insecurity, and increase the resilience of “frontline” communities in Nevada that are the first to feel the impacts of climate change, so that all households and communities, regardless of income, have reliable and affordable energy.
NCEF’s financing products and technical assistance services include:
- NCEF’s Residential Energy Upgrade Program (RE-UP) provides Nevada homeowners with affordable loans for implementing clean energy and energy efficiency measures in their home. RE-UP includes a network of contractors vetted by NCEF. RE-UP also supports homeowners in accessing federal and utility incentives.
- NCEF’s Electric School Bus Program provides rebates, incentive bridge financing, gap financing, and technical assistance to Nevada school districts.
- As Nevada’s designated applicant to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Solar for All funding opportunity, NCEF is preparing to launch low-income solar financing programs in 2024.
- NCEF is also preparing to launch commercial clean energy revolving loan programs and a residential loan loss reserve program in 2024.
