Better Climate Challenge   Better Plants Program

Nestlé is harnessing the power of employees, farmers, partners, retail customers, consumers, and brands to take urgent action on big issues, including climate change, plastic waste, responsible farming, and energy consumption. By committing to these ambitious goals they are aiming to achieve zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

To help achieve that, Nestlé is pioneering renewable energy alternatives, scaling up initiatives in agriculture to absorb more carbon, and innovating across their portfolio to include more products with a better environmental footprint. They are also advocating for policies that inspire the development and use of cleaner energy alternatives.

Nestlé recieved a 2023 Better Project Award for achieving an annual savings of 14,000 cubic meters of water and 25,000 MMBtus of energy at its Gerber facility Arkansas by installing an electrochemical water treatment technology that treats colling tower water and reduces reliance on chemicals.
