Miami-Dade County Public Schools

Miami-Dade County Public Schools joined the Better Buildings & Better Plants Initiative in August 2024. As the third largest school district in the United States, Miami-Dade County Public Schools is a majority minority district encompassing 37 million square feet of conditioned space. Miami-Dade County Public Schools has a clean energy goal of 100% by 2030. They were recently awarded the Renew America Schools Prize and Grant from the Department of Energy to retrofit and improver energy efficiency in ten campuses across their organization.
