    Better Climate Challenge

    Link’s climate action plan includes achieving 100 percent carbon neutral operations by 2025, transitioning to 100 percent renewable energy by 2024, converting 100 percent of its portfolio to LED lighting by 2025 and installing 300 megawatts of solar by 2025. They remain focused on strategically reducing emissions to meet our long-term emissions goals because we believe those efforts make our buildings more attractive to tenants, and ultimately, increase the value of our investments. They also partner with their customers to help them do the same.

    Link continue to focus on strategically reducing emissions through a robust data collection process, energy management strategies, energy efficiency projects and by leveraging renewables to achieve their emissions reduction targets.

    Representative GHG emissions reduction approaches and successes:

    • Committed $4.75 million to the American Forest Foundation (AFF) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to help enable the creation of carbon removal offsets
    • Progressing toward 300 MW solar goal by 2025, with 65 MW of solar capacity to date and 150 MW of capacity in the pipeline
    • Named 2022 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year
    • Pursuing LEED certification for all new developments
    • Converted 21M square feet of space to LED lighting

    Link Logistics signed on to the Better Climate Challenge in 2022 committing to a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions across its 500 million plus square foot portfolio. Strategies include actively measuring and managing energy data, reducing energy consumption through efficient operations and retrofits, developing onsite renewable energy and offsetting with renewable energy purchasing. These include interim goals of achieving 100 percent carbon neutral operations by 2025, transitioning to 100 percent renewable energy by 2024, converting 100 percent of its portfolio to LED lighting by 2025 and installing 300 megawatts of solar by 2025.
