Lendlease set a corporate goal of Net Zero Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2025 across their operations. Additionally, Lendlease’s military housing portfolio of 61 million square feet committed to the Better Buildings Challenge in 2011. The portfolio represents approximately 40,000 homes helping American military families bring energy security home. Lendlease kicked off its partnership with a daylong event for all of its 10 projects at its Atlantic Marine Corps Communities at Tri-Command project. Sustainable efforts include continuing to green retrofit existing structures, developing an energy consumption reduction program, and focusing on renewable energy solutions such as solar energy generation, fuel cell technologies, wind, and ground source heating and cooling technologies.

Lendlease received a 2023 Better Practice Award for reducing average annual gross utility costs by nearly $20 million at two Hawaii communities.
