Holcim U.S.
Holcim U.S. is the nation's largest cement producers and one of the largest producers of aggregates and concrete. The company includes nearly 350 sites in 43 states and employs 7,000 people. Holcim U.S. has pledged to power our US operations with 100 percent renewable energy by 2030 and was the first cement producer to commit to the Department of Energy's Better Climate Challenge. All 13 of Holcim's cement plants in the US have developed Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to bring greater transparency to our cement products' carbon footprint.
Holcim joined the Better Plants Program in September of 2010. It met its initial 25% energy intensity improvement target in 2014. The company stepped up to the Better Plants Challenge soon after, extending its energy efficiency target to 30% by 2018 across its U.S. cement plants.
