Earth Advantage® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on accelerating the adoption of high-performance and green residential renovation and construction. Founded in 2005 as a spin-off from the electric utility Portland General Electric, the organization has a proven track record providing certification, training, research, and IT product development for the building industry. Since its inception, Earth Advantage has worked with federal, state, and local governments on residential energy labeling policies and Home Energy Score programs that have produced tens of thousands of Home Energy Scores. Earth Advantage provides a selection of Home Energy Score Partner services, including Assessor training, mentoring, and onboarding; quality assurance (remote and in-field); Home Energy Score policy compliance and enforcement support; and real estate industry engagement and training. Earth Advantage also offers access to the SaaS platform Green Building Registry® that produces custom Home Energy Score reports for local programs and is the source of home performance information for communities across the US.
