The Colorado Energy Office promotes sustainable economic development in Colorado through advancing the state's energy market and industry to create jobs, increase energy security, lower long-term consumer costs, and protect our environment. Current initiatives include training of real estate stakeholders including appraisers, Realtors, and lenders, developing studies on the value of energy efficiency and renewable energy at the time of sale, and encouraging the use of standard green fields now featured in 14 multiple listing service (MLS) vendors that cover 97% of the state's housing stock.
