CCEF is the designated green lending institution for EPA Region 8, which includes Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and 28 Tribal Nations within those states. CCEF financing serves residential properties in Colorado, as well as commercial entities throughout the region and nation—including commercial properties, multifamily affordable housing, nonprofits, and agriculture.

Products and Services

CCEF loan products are intended to fill finance gaps for businesses and tax exempt organizations implementing renewable energy, energy efficiency and building electrification projects. They offer long term loans up to 15 years and short term bridge loans with fixed rates below market rates. In addition, CCEF offers pre-development, construction, and permanent debt for various types of borrowers. Eligible clean energy measures include renewable energy systems such as solar PV and battery storage; building envelope improvements like air sealing, insulation, and windows and doors; HVAC systems like heat pumps and energy recovery ventilators; LED lighting and controls; and EV charging infrastructure.
