Citizen Energy offers a $0 upfront LED Lighting as-a-Service (LaaS) financing solution that allows customers to upgrade to LED, improve illumination and save up to 50% on energy and maintenance costs. Customers pay a cash-flow-positive, fixed monthly payment, which is calculated as a share of the estimated savings. The LaaS customer contract term is typically five years and is structured as an off-balance-sheet, performance-based service contract for customers to treat payments as an operating expense, and avoid capital expenditures or debt. Citizen Energy eliminates risk, and monitors and maintains the LED’s to ensure peak performance. At the end of the contract term, customers have several options including renewing the same contract with a reduced monthly payment, or achieving even greater savings by refreshing to the highest performing LED equipment available in the market.
