In August 2017, Charter Steel’s Saukville headquarters became both the first industrial plant and Better Plants partner site in the US to achieve the 50001 Ready designation, further demonstrating the company’s leadership in continuous energy improvement. In earning recognition through the 50001 Ready program, Charter Steel has self-attested to conforming to the core principles of ISO 50001, the global best practice for energy management.
