Century Housing Corporation (Century) is a mission-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that engages in developing and financing affordable housing. While Century’s lending team provides innovative loan and structured financial products for developing apartment homes throughout California, its Housing team focuses on actively developing and preserving affordable housing in Southern California.

Century takes its Better Buildings Challenge pledge to reduce energy intensity by 20% within ten years seriously. The organization is well on its way, it has already identified energy and cost saving solutions to implement throughout its multifamily portfolio. These measures include using solar electric and solar thermal technologies, upgrading HVAC systems, installing high performance lighting, and installing low-flow water fixtures. Century considers its commitments to benchmark and share energy data both internally and with fellow Better Buildings Challenge partners a top priority.
