Bullitt County Public School District (BCPS) located in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, serves over 13,000 students. The district's portfolio consists of 27 buildings spread across 2 million square feet of space, adding over 600,000 square feet in the past 10 years. In response to its growth, the district committed to upgrading HVAC equipment, lighting and DDC controls in its facilities. As a result, Bullitt has already realized an energy reduction of 30%, compared to its previous 2004/2005 baseline.

BCPS is committed to partnering with the US Department of Energy in the Better Buildings Challenge, striving to become more energy efficient and reduce energy usage and costs. The district continues to serve as a steward of the environment, safeguard taxpayer dollars and provide a better future for its students.  The district is dedicated to the process of continuous improvement, always looking for better ways to maintain buildings and equipment, as well as exploring newer technologies to help improve the efficiency of its buildings.
