The company has committed to reducing its facilities’ CO₂ footprint, which is 4,876,273 square feet, by 20% by 2032. AVANGRID plans to achieve these goals through continued deployment of renewable generation, enabling new technologies such as green hydrogen, renewable natural gas, and storage to reduce emissions, as well as converting 60% of its fleet to cleaner energy vehicles by 2030. The company is reducing emissions from its facilities by installing solar panels on the largest facilities, procuring renewable energy, and reducing the overall facilities footprint as part of the transition to a more flexible work environment.
