Allina Health

Allina Health is comprised of more than 190 buildings that include metro and regional sites that include hospitals, clinics, and specialty care services whose space can range from 1,000 to 500,000 square feet. Allina Health is committed to energy efficiency, healthy patients and environments, responsible resource management, and resiliency.

In addition to its Better Buildings Challenge goal to reduce energy intensity by 20% by 2030, Allina Health has committed to reach zero net emissions by 2050. To do this, Allina Health partners with food service vendors to reduce carbon emissions and food waste. Allina Health monitors heating, cooling, power, and water systems for potential efficiency replacements and conducts assessments to ensure they are prepared for extreme weather and the impact of climate change. During construction projects, Allina Health uses pollution control equipment to monitor air quality to protect their surrounding neighborhoods.
