Āhē Group

Ahe Group provides development, operations, and long-term ownership of affordable housing in Hawaii. Ahe Group has developed and/or acquired and rehabilitated 22 affordable housing developments totaling over 1,380 units across the islands of Oahu, Kauai, and Hawaii.

Ahe Group was an early adopter of renewable energy and efficient development and developed the first LEED Certified Platinum affordable housing properties in Hawaii. Today, Ahe Group has seven projects with LEED Platinum status. Every Ahe Group property includes efficient building concepts and/or energy production, and Ahe Group continuously aims to build to LEED standards, including specifying Energy Star appliances, providing photovoltaic panels where possible, and using low VOC paint and interior products.

DOE’s Better Buildings Challenge provides Ahe Group a framework to institutionalize its priorities around renewable energy and energy efficiency in affordable housing while providing the tools to track and quantify the success of those measures. Ahe Group endeavors to benchmark all the properties in its portfolio to establish energy consumption baselines.
