Eastman Chemical reduced energy use by more than 10% at it's Longview, Texas site by implementing an advanced tiered level control system to optimize water usage and reduce steam use in the dilution steam generator.

The Eastman team at the Longview, Texas, site began an evaluation of a solvent process at their facility. 

Access to real-time setpoint recommendations enabled operators to implement changes that reduced energy use by over 2% at the Kingsport site, saving approximately 960,000 MMBtu per year and avoiding 72,000 tons per year of CO₂ emissions.
