Erie VA Medical Center (VAMC) replaced water-cooled condensing units with air-cooled units, achieving monthly water savings of more than 55% and over 8,000,000 gallons over the first year of operation.

Des Moines Water Works (DMWW) is an independently operated public utility providing drinking water to approximately 500,000 people in the Greater Des Moines area.

DMWW upgraded two pumps by applying a polymer coating to individual parts. The polymer coating helps reduce friction between the water and the pump and protects the pump from pitting and other corrosion damage that distorts the impeller blades and degrades pump efficiency and performance.

The City of Des Moines, IA joined the Better Climate Challenge and the Better Buildings Challenge in 2024.

By performing upgrades to all constant volume CRAH units, aging air-cooled chiller equipment, and LED lights, Digital Realty was able to achieve a 39% PUE-1 reduction in energy use.

As a Partner of the Better Buildings Challenge, DWS has committed to reducing the energy consumption across a portfolio of at least 5 million square feet of US commercial office buildings by two percent, annually, through 2020, and achieved their goal in 2017. 

DWS's 1800 K Street is a mixed-use office and retail building originally constructed in 1969. By replacing the building's 44-year-old chiller plant and implementing a new Energy Management System (EMS), 1800 K Street is expected to reach $705,000 in annual energy cost savings.

Dysart Unified School District implemented an ESPC at Kingswood Elementary to maximize opportunities for high efficiency technology upgrades and energy cost saving strategies resulting in an annual energy savings of 16% and a cost savings of $44,000 annually.

EAH Housing is a regional nonprofit housing development and management organization serving more than 20,000 residents across California and Hawaii. 

EAH Housing leveraged Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and other funding to finance comprehensive energy- and water-efficiency retrofits at Los Robles, in Union City, California. As a result, EAH Housing reduced energy consumption by 20% and achieved $68,000 in energy cost savings.

Taking advantage of a planned shutdown of two large boilers, an Eastman Chemical plant initiated an energy efficiency study and upgrade of two coal-fired stoker boilers in one of its powerhouses.

Eastman has hydrogen plants covering 118,000 square feet at its Kingsport, Tennessee facility that use high-pressure natural gas as a raw input to create hydrogen gas for polymer production.
