Shari’s Café & Pies is the largest full-service restaurant chain based in the Pacific Northwest.  Founded in 1978, Shari’s provides high quality, reasonably priced meals 24 hours a day in comfortable surroundings. 

Through a mix of equipment replacement, process changes, and employee education and engagement, Shari’s Café & Pies was able to realize 28% energy savings and 43% water savings at this Lynnwood, WA restaurant, making it a model for many of the other, older restaurants that comprise the bulk of Shari’s overall portfolio.

The Shari’s energy team identified the Roseburg, OR restaurant as one of the top energy users in in the chain’s portfolio. A major remodeling was completed that brought 43% savings in both energy and water.

Shorenstein Properties upgraded to Direct Digital Controls, modified setpoints, installed variable frequency drives and LEDs at a 735,000 square foot office building in San Francisco leading to over $600,000 in cost savings.

Shorenstein Properties identified several no- and low-cost energy conservation measures at this four-building office park including upgrading garage lighting, installing LEDs, and adding variable frequency drives, saving $150,000 in energy costs annually.

Spokane County's Community Services Buildings achieved 41% annual energy savings as a result of efficiency upgrades to the building's chiller system and optimizing of the HVAC control systems.

Spokane County took a multi-measure approach in creating and implementing its energy efficiency strategy for the Regional Health District Building, which included steam plant decentralization, new boiler and domestic hot water plant, controls and system upgrades, new VAV boxes, garage exhaust control and lighting. Spokane achieved 23% energy savings and $40,000 cost savings annually.

1300 East Rochelle is a Sprint-owned and CBRE-managed general business use office building located in Irving, TX that significantly reduced energy use by 51% through the installation of high efficiency chillers, the addition of economizers and demand control ventilation, and lighting upgrades.

As part of Sprint's Network Vision Plan, efficiency upgrades at this Kansas City building included HVAC variable frequency drive upgrades, a lighting management system and external LED lighting improvements, and DC rectifier upgrades.
