PORTFOLIO ENERGY PERFORMANCE

Wendium of Florida's portfolio consists of 6 buildings with a total of 18,000 square feet. Wendium has improved energy performance by 15% per transaction from a 2013 baseline. Wendium previously surpassed its Challenge goal ahead of schedule in 2018 by improving energy efficiency through parking lot lighting LED upgrades, updating HVAC equipment, installation of energy management systems, and by applying its “Three Green’s Strategy” to prioritize money invested in new equipment such as ENERGY STAR fryers, etc.

ENERGY PERFORMANCE BY PROPERTY

Looking at the percent improvement in energy performance across all facilities can provide insight into how an organization is saving energy. Wendium has achieved energy performance improvement of greater than 10% at four restaurants. Further energy reduction at other properties is expected with the continuing remodeling of restaurants, energy efficiency upgrades, and operational focus on energy savings.

IDENTIFYING OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT

Property-level energy performance metrics, including EUI and percent improvement to date, are critical to track progress over time and identify opportunities for additional energy savings. Wendium's portfolio consists of properties with baseline EUI values ranging from 18 to 25 kBtu/transaction. The majority of properties have shown energy improvement since 2013. The properties located near or below the 0% axis may present good opportunities for further savings.

PORTFOLIO WATER PERFORMANCE

Better Buildings Challenge Partners strive to decrease portfolio-wide source water use intensity (WUI) and to increase the percent improvement compared to a set baseline. Wendium of Florida has improved water performance by 11% from a 2018 baseline, making progress towards a goal of 20% by 2029.
