Housing Authority of the City of Cleveland, Tennessee: Energy performance

Energy Performance
Cumulative (vs. Baseline)5%
Annual (2018)-4%

Better Buildings Challenge Partners strive to decrease portfolio-wide source energy use intensity (EUI) and to increase the percent improvement compared to a set baseline. Cleveland Housing Authority's portfolio consists of 420 units of public housing aggregating to 295,000 square feet of living space. They have improved energy performance by 5% from a 2016 baseline, making progress towards a goal of 20% by 2025.  Energy savings have been achieved by implementing an Energy Performance Contract (EPC) in several phases, whose scope of work includes lighting retrofits utilizing LED's and air sealing across all properties, as well as HVAC upgrades at two of the CHA's largest properties.
