Better Buildings Challenge Partners strive to decrease portfolio-wide source energy use intensity (EUI) and to increase the percent improvement compared to a set baseline. Helena Housing Authority's portfolio consists of one building and 60,000 square feet. Partner has improved energy performance by 1% from a 2010 baseline, making progress towards a goal of 20% by 2023. Energy savings have been achieved by replacing boilers with high-efficiency boilers, installing individual HVAC units, and implementing lighting retrofits across all units.
