Through the Commercial Building Heat Pump Technology Challenge, the U.S. Department of Energy is challenging manufacturers to develop innovative heat pump rooftop units (RTUs) that meet an advanced technology specification developed by DOE to help organizations meet their cost, energy, and reliability needs. Manufacturers will partner with DOE and the national laboratories to create prototypes, test the performance and durability of the products, and lead field validations with Better Buildings partners.
