Just Released: Better Buildings Alliance 2016 Winter Progress Update
Every year the Department of Energy releases an annual Winter Progress Update highlighting programmatic activities and partner successes of the Better Buildings Alliance. The 2016 Winter Progress Update and Progress Update Infographic lauds the accomplishments of more than 200 partners, representing over 11 billion square feet of building space in the U.S.
The Alliance continues to expand throughout 2015, welcoming 19 new partners representing a diversity of industry sectors, such as commercial real estate; healthcare; hospitality; higher education; and retail, food service, and grocery, serving as a conduit for effective cross-sector knowledge sharing. The Energy Department encourages industry stakeholders to peruse the over 40 resources released by the Better Buildings Alliance Technology and Market Solutions Teams in the past year, including:

- Primer on Organization Use of Energy Management Information Systems
- Guidance on Demand Controlled Kitchen Ventilation
The report also details how partners including University of California at Berkeley, Hannaford, CKE Restaurants, APPA, MGM Resorts International, and CBRE achieved savings through innovative solutions supported by the Alliance network.
