As one of the largest adult ambulatory care facilities in the northeast, Hackensack Meridian Health’s Medical Plaza had the potential for some of the greatest energy savings on campus. Through a Building Automation System upgrade, chiller plant optimization, a strategic local utility partnership, and more, the Medical Plaza achieved 20% energy savings and over $1.2 million in annual cost savings. Northwestern UniversityNorthwestern University uses Energy-as-a-Service Partnership to Reduce Emissions and Train Students

Northwestern University entered a five-year multi-faceted partnership with a renewable energy and energy efficiency company to advance its sustainability goals. Through this partnership, Northwestern will gain access to engineering support for efficiency improvement projects as well as training and hands-on learning opportunities for students. Eden HousingEden Housing Develops Highly Efficient Multifamily Housing

Camphora Apartments is a 44-unit affordable housing property and community center that was co-developed by Eden Housing to bring the benefits of energy efficiency to lower income households. The property includes a solar photovoltaic system, high-efficiency mini-split heat pumps, and other features. As a result, the property performs 80% more efficiently than state energy code. Neema HospitalityNeema Hospitality Saves Water with Shared Savings Water Conservation Program

To reduce water usage, Neema Hospitality worked through a vendor offering a shared savings water conservation program. This enabled the installation of sink aerator retrofits and low-flow toilets in all rooms at no upfront cost to Neema Hospitality. NYCEECNYCEEC’s Utility Incentive Bridge Funding Supports Multifamily Efficiency Upgrades

To bridge the gap between project planning and implementation, Financial Ally New York City Energy Efficiency Corporation (NYCEEC) provided a $750,000 bridge loan to enable steam trap upgrades in seven buildings, housing over 2,100 multifamily units. The upgrades are anticipated to save more than 6,800 metric tons of lifetime carbon dioxide equivalent. Learn more.

The City of Fort Lauderdale developed a no-cost, replicable heat map tool to visualize hourly energy usage data for city facilities. Using this new tool allows the city to better identify energy and operational efficiency opportunities more effectively and evaluate the impacts of efficiency measures within its buildings. Ingersoll RandIngersoll Rand Diverts Wood Waste at Compressor Manufacturing Facility

Ingersoll Rand launched a project to decrease the annual amount of wood waste at its Sedalia, MO, compressor manufacturing facility. Following an employee’s suggestion, Ingersoll Rand installed a woodchipper to convert wood pallets, which would otherwise be sent to landfill, into chips to be sent to a mulch manufacturer. The project diverted 878,460 pounds of wood waste from local landfills. Learn more.
