INDUSTRIAL HIGHLIGHTS: 2022 BETTER BUILDINGS, BETTER PLANTS SUMMIT
Industrial energy efficiency and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction were widely-discussed topics at the 2022 Better Buildings, Better Plants Summit. Industry leaders, subject matter experts, and other professionals convened in-person to share their perspectives, strategies, award-winning solutions, and best practices to move the needle on saving energy and cutting greenhouse gas emissions at our nation’s manufacturing plants.
Check out these highlights from the industrial track at this year’s Summit!
Industrial Sector Meet-Up
Better Plants partners and stakeholders gathered to discuss energy efficiency and emissions reduction challenges, solutions, and experiences during the Industrial Sector Meet-Up. Program manager John O’Neill provided an update on new tools and resources and highlighted the accomplishments of Challenge Goal Achiever Legrand and Program Goal Achievers Nestlé Health Science and Deschutes Brewery.
Challenge the Champions
Seasoned veterans of energy management squared off against a team of rising stars in a Family Feud-style game show, featuring Better Plants partners General Motors, Nissan, Chemours, Coca-Cola Consolidated, Eastman Chemical Co., Legrand, and Cleveland-Cliffs. In a close game, the rising stars edged out the veterans for the victory.
