From 2013 to 2019, the Advanced Rooftop Unit (RTU) Campaign was a public/private partnership that worked to overcome technical and market barriers for high-efficiency RTU solutions. The Campaign served as a platform to guide program design and encourage building owners and operators to take advantage of savings opportunities from high-efficiency RTU solutions. The Campaign met its objective of driving energy savings and market transformation through advanced RTUs and successfully helped the 92 Partners and 268 Supporters save over 3.8 billion kWh and nearly $400 million. Resources from the Advanced Rooftop Unit Campaign have been collected into this Toolkit: Upgrade Your RTU to High-Efficiency.
The Better Buildings Space Conditioning Technology Research Team will continue to leverage its industry partnerships to deploy energy-saving space-conditioning strategies. To learn more, visit them on the Better Buildings Solution Center.
