Commercial Building HVAC Accelerator

Aerial Image of RTUs on Rooftop

Compared with conventional packaged rooftop units (RTUs), high efficiency next-generation RTUs are estimated to reduce energy costs by up to 50%. From 2024 through 2027, the Commercial Building HVAC Accelerator will work with stakeholders, from commercial building owners and operators to manufacturers, to accelerate the development and adoption of next-generation RTUs to achieve energy efficient and cost-effective solutions for buildings. The Accelerator was developed in partnership with manufacturing and commercial partners, as well as DOE's National Labs.
