Through the Better Climate Challenge, the Department of Energy developed a Framework for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Planning that provides guidance to organizations seeking to reduce GHG emissions across their portfolio. The process described in this framework helps organizations develop an actionable plan that identifies solutions, prioritizes measures, and lays out a phased pathway to achieve deep emissions reductions.
Better Climate Challenge partners and stakeholders representing over 60 organizations across multiple sectors and building types contributed to the development of this framework through participation in working groups. An overview of the framework can be found here.
